My Role

This was part of the 2019 WTW Hackathon. I was the sole Product Designer on the winning team. All design iteration and user research was accomplished in less than one work week.

02

Problem

Giving users unprecedented control and access to their commuter account. Including instant access to funds. Also allowing users to start, stop, and adjust contributions on the run.

Workflow sketches

I used mobile wireframing cards to help diagram workflows and interactions. This was a big help in visualizing the problem and solution.

04

Wireframing

I kept the first design iteration very low key. This made sure we had the workflows correct quickly.

05

Higher fidelity

I utilized our existing design system library to quickly create a high fidelity prototype.

Usability testing

I used Usertesting.com to conduct quick usability testing on the designs. It went incredibly well. My story of using the platform earned my company a 2020 Distinguished Luminary Award.

Results

Not only did the design win the hackathon, the feature was chosen to be handed off to another product team and integrated into our Via Benefits Accounts app.
